Detra Saffold, Administrative Director

Detra Saffold is an Administrative Director. She is one of only 19 candidates nationwide who successfully completed the COPM examination in 2005. Long considered the pinnacle of state-of-the-art knowledge, the COPM credential supports her personal dedication to patient-focused administration of Chesapeake Bay ENT.

Saffold, an experienced professional, ran an otolaryngology practice for another physician in Portland, OR before coming to Virginia. She is a member of the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE), the Association of Otolaryngology Administrators (AOA), and the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA).

Leisure time is spent with her favorite people, husband Scott, son Jacob and daughter Josephine. An avid scrap booker, she also enjoys listening to audio books on her commute.

Detra Saffold believes that state-of-the-art medical care should be balanced with a caring and compassionate manner. She supports the continuous professional development of the staff, and works to ensure that Chesapeake Bay ENT delivers the best in medical care to its patients. Detra Saffold and her husband, Scott, started Chesapeake Bay ENT in August, 2001.
