Beverly Patterson, ENT Practitioner
Beverly Patterson is a Board Certified APRN (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse) in the states of Virginia and Maryland. She holds a Masters Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Salisbury University and has completed a one year fellowship in Otorhinolaryngology.
Patterson is licensed as a Registered Nurse in both Maryland and Virginia, and she has a certificate of training in Academy Glycolic Facial Peels. Her background includes experience in Pediatric and Geriatric Medical Surgical Nursing and Emergency Room Nursing. She has also served as a Home Health Care Case Manager.
Patterson, a
founding member of the Eastern Shore Society Of Midlevel Providers,
is an active member of the community; a participant in worthy causes; and has many personal interests. She volunteers every summer at the YMCA Camp Silver Beach.
Beverly Patterson believes that health care should be delivered professionally and competently to all who seek care. She works with patients with both acute and chronic illnesses to diagnose and provide treatment. Patterson joined Chesapeake Bay ENT in May, 2004.
Jeana Stern,
Hearing Rehabilitation Specialist
As a Board Certified Audiologist Specialist, Jeana Stern provides testing of hearing and /or hearing loss. Her test results are used to assist the providers in working with the patients.
Leisure time is used for favorite activities, such as watching movies, or going fishing and boating. Stern is also great at developing photographs, a hobby and talent that she continues to develop.
Jeana Stern, who enjoys working with her co-workers, believes in making the patients feel welcome. She joined Chesapeake Bay ENT in March, 2004.
Latasha Harman, Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
Alexandra Bundick, Operations Manager
As Operations Manager, Alexandra Bundick handles a multitude of duties, including patient accounts. She holds an Associates Degree in Business Administration and is working to complete her Bachelors in Accounting at Old Dominion University.
Bundick's skills are enhanced by her continuous professional development, including attending workshops on such topics as "Coding and Reimbursement", and through participation with the Association of Otolaryngology Administrators.
During her leisure time, she enjoys many activities, though her favorite is ball games with Skipper and Hope, her beloved yellow Labradors.
Alexandra Bundick joined Chesapeake Bay ENT in December, 2002.
Louise Mills , Receptionist
When you walk through the doors you'll be welcomed with a smile and warm greeting from Louise, Mills. In addition to serving as the receptionist, she also handles the scheduling of
radiologic and referral services
and the preparation of patient files.
A proud graduate of the "Alex Bundick School of Secretarial Excellence" (smile), she is currently working towards her Education Degree at Eastern Shore Community College.
Mills, who serves as a volunteer coach with high school cheerleaders, has been known to brag about her boogy boarding when not spending time with her family.
Louise Mills enjoys giving special attention to each patient and believes that every patient is worth remembering. She joined Chesapeake Bay ENT in January, 2005.
Detra Saffold, Office Administrator
Detra Saffold is a Certified Otolaryngology Practice Manager (COPM). She is one of only 19 candidates nationwide who successfully completed the COPM examination in 2005. Long considered the pinnacle of state-of-the-art knowledge, the COPM credential supports her personal dedication to patient-focused administration of Chesapeake Bay ENT.
Saffold, an experienced professional, ran an otolaryngology practice for another physician before coming to the Eastern Shore. She is a member of the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE), the Association of Otolaryngology Administrators (AOA), and the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA).
Leisure time is spent with her two favorite guys, Scott and son Jacob. An avid scrap booker, she enjoys audio books and playing with her Labrador Retriever.
Detra Saffold believes that state-of-the-art medical care should be balanced with a caring and compassionate manner. She supports the continuous professional development of the staff, and works to ensure that Chesapeake Bay ENT delivers the best in medical care to the citizens of the Eastern Shore. Detra Saffold and her husband, Scott, started Chesapeake Bay ENT in August, 2001.
