Collins Boateng is a physician assistant certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. He is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. Originally from Ghana, West Africa, Mr. Boateng received a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University and Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science in Physician Assistants Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
As a healthcare provider Mr. Boateng is an advocate for patient education. During each interaction Mr. Boateng arms every patient with information about their particular medical condition, disease, diagnosis, and why a particular treatment is being administered. His goal is to keep them actively and cooperatively involved in the decision making process thereby enhancing patient satisfaction.
When he is not proudly serving his country as a member of the Virginia Army National Guard (since 2008) or at a conference expanding his knowledge base Mr. Boateng spends his spare time cooking and participating in various outdoor activities such as running, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, and paddle boarding.
