Glycolic Acid Facial Peels

Fruit-based Glycolic Acid Facial Peels are a safe non-surgical treatment used to treat fine wrinkles, acne scars, sun damaged or weathered skin, blotchy pigmentation, and other blemishes in both men and women.

A Glycolic Acid Facial Peel can smooth rough skin and improve its texture. We invite you to schedule an appointment and see for yourself the enhancements in the look and feel of your skin.

Glycolic Acid Facial Peels can help both men and women to attain:

  • Visibly smoother and softer skin
  • Diminished appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Increased skin hydration for a softer feel
  • Balanced skin tone
  • Improvement in oily or acne-prone skin

Dead skin cells give your face an irregular, dull appearance.

As we age and expose our skin to the environment, a keratin layer forms. This keratin layer is made up of dead skin cells that have not yet sloughed off.

As this layer increases, because it is dead, it becomes clumpy, irregular, dull, dry and flaky. As old skin cells die and slough off, new skin cells are regenerating and moving to the surface.

This whole cycle takes about 21 days. The old skin layer that is no longer living is called the keratin layer. It is within this layer that wrinkles and signs of aging are present.

Removing the keratin layer allows vibrant, healthy skin to resurface.

Because the keratin layer is comprised of dead skin cells, the skin is not even. As stated above, this layer can be irregular, clumpy, thick, flaky and dull. By removing this layer with a Glycolic Acid Facial Peel, the new skin is able to resurface. This new skin is vibrant and healthy.

In addition to the removal of the keratin layer, Glycolic Acid Facial Peels promote new collagen cells and restore bulk and elasticity to the skin.

Glycolic Acid Facial Peels are also effective in the treatment of acne and psoriasis.

Glycolic Acid is a natural substance made from fruits.

Glycolic Acid is a natural substance derived from sugar cane, apples, grapes, and citrus fruits. It is the smallest and simplest of a group of naturally occurring substances called “alpha hydroxy acids”.

There is no downtime associated with Glycolic Acid Facial Peels. In fact, for those who wear make-up, it can be reapplied immediately after the treatment is complete.
