Botox
Botox is a safe and effective way to eliminate frown lines and crow's feet. Approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), it is a non-surgical treatment that can temporarily smooth forehead creases, frown lines and crow's feet, and can last for up to three months.
Those creases and lines on your forehead are caused by muscles making repetitive motions over the years as you frown or use other facial expressions.
Botox Works by Blocking Muscle Contractions
Botulinum Toxin Type A (Botox Cosmetic) is a protein complex...when used in a medical setting as an injectable form of sterile, purified botulinum toxin, small doses block the release of a chemical called acetylcholine by nerve cells that signal muscle contraction. By selectively interfering with the underlying muscles' ability to contract, existing frown lines are smoothed out and, in most cases, are nearly invisible in a week.

At Chesapeake Bay ENT, we take extra steps to be sure that your Botox experience is comfortable and rewarding. After your consultation, during which time the provider will determine where best to make the injections, you'll find the procedure itself will take about 10 minutes. You will notice an improvement in your looks within a few days.
You'll want to get on a regular schedule in order to maintain the effects. The results of your treatment can last for up to three months. When you discontinue, the creases and lines will return to the appearance they had before your treatments began.
